Greetings!
I am back.
Healing required me to focused more deeply than ever, thus sharing my journals had to be set aside. While I continued to write daily, the last two months of changes and challenges left no time to post.
My learning curve continues to skyrocket with lessons of coping and cure.
The deeper stages of healing require a self-indulgence that has little time for others.
Figuring my way when clues are few has been fascinating and frustrating.
My sister said it is like keys that have lost their doors. I know the solutions are here and like my childhood toys, some assembly would be required.
If illness is a call to action, then injury is a call to community
Both taught me that a team approach is best,
but injury seemed predictable with a timeframe that I could clock.
Illness has been a journey into lands of change and discovery.
My spinal fracture [injury] continues to heal
Cancer [illness] continues to seek care
For patients, families, and care givers reading and sharing my journal entries, I have lots to share from the trials and errors of coping with cancer.
I will find a way to post them very soon.
For my family, fellow philosophers and humorists, I found a class I taught in 2018 called Becoming Whole Again. It was a live online stress management course and the slides and videos still exist. It reads as if it was written for my cancer struggles today.
Reviewing them is helping me in making tough decisions and keeping my attitude in check. It is so easy for me to go sour when my stomach goes sour (literally).
I am attaching the PowerPoint slides of the first few presentations in a PDF format.
